And Then There Was ONE.....

My Journey
Standing in line at a very busy McCarran Airport, my stomach turns and ties, my head is light, my heart begins to race and my body seems to be converting some type of energy into heat and its radiating.  It finally hit me... I quit a job I loved, was moving away from my family, and doing it all alone.  Ready to call my Dad back to come get me, I didn't have a cell phone.  So I punched myself in the stomach, the place that was causing the most problems, blamed it on the lack of sleep and got on the plane.  These feelings were long gone once arriving in beautiful Paris. Once we landed Blonde Redhead was playing throughout plane and I knew it would be golden.  Even the feel of the airport was amazing.  I really need to get to know this place.  And learn the language too.  Never really had the urge to learn French but when the pilot said "Bonjour mademoiselle" my tongue searched for something to say but was left lame.

In the Geneva Airport the customs lines were long but these little guys were so cute and I loved their toys. I must find them for my little guys at home. Classic wooden push toys.  Plus, the one on the left noticed we were rockin the same shoes, but mine were "vert" and his were "bleu." Another reminder to learn French.

Done bother learning French, it is mostly a dead language. It sounds great, but ultimately fails to produce anything of substance. Travelling always makes you want to learn the language of the place you are......except Spanish. You hear it too much at home. You just need to know enough to give the appearance of the attempt.

Don't fear your time alone. Being by yourself is where you learn to know yourself. Take advantage. The time will fly faster than you thought and all the things you thought you would do become things you wished you did.

I find the best plan to have when travelling is if it sounds interesting.....go do it. If it starts to suck. Bail quickly. Your time is short.

Have fun!

feeling a little envy and a lot of pride

When your follow your heart and soul somehow logic and reason play tricks on what you really want; thus fear is created. It's not life threatening as far as I know (except for that parachuting thing):)
