I was in a pageant....

   Our dorm (9-12 year old girls) had a Miss Leysin pageant.  6 of the staff were the contestants and the kicker is that the girls got to do our make-up, hair, pick out our outfits, write our speech and of course....a talent.  Needless to say, my blush is gone now, Linda from Madagascar put it all over my face, and then all over my face again....I didn't have the heart to stop her.  I was enjoying her endearing grin and eyes that spoke, "I'm making you so beautiful Miss Teryn" way too much.  It was a lot of fun.  I liked that they chose my raincoat and my red high heels.

....and you know the jacket and glasses came off!  Their idea of an entrance was for me to strut in with Toxic by Britney Spears playing, throw my glasses into the crowd and strip off the coat.   

     Miss Jeff, Miss Leysin 2007, was one of the judges.

Yes there is a Giraffe on my shirt and yes a purple streak in my side pony tail.  They must have been thinking 80's....

  Ok lets get to the good stuff... Jackie, the one in the white had an epic speech.  One of the girls recorded it on video and I have been trying to post it but my computer is being fussy.  She could hardly get through the speech because of this line, "instead of cutting down the trees, we would just take the branches!!"  Classic, it kills me every time.  Miss Latoya won, black shirt, pink beeds.
