Well... Insomnia is showing her face again, what a slut. Being energetic for the kids, walking up or down hills which ever way you go, quit caffeine weeks ago, and still find myself awake in the 4 AM, WHY? Not that I don't enjoy the wee hours but the mornings become even more special. Well, this morning I finally found the catalyst.... seeing all the chocolate wrappers in my trash can and it came to me....DARKNESS... Dark Chocolate... it tingles my brain. I love it so much and I have been trying all the swiss brands. I go to the store to buy food and end up leaving with only chocolate. What's a girl to do? I feel insatiable. Milk Chocolate, can't even compare, its gross almost. I must be becoming an adult, only adults like dark chocolate.
The other day we went to the Cailler chocolate factory. Mmmm.... we got to try one of the actually beans... now I do dark with nibs. At the end of the tour you can try all the chocolate you want. The only rule is that you can't take any with you. We told the kids they could only have 4 pieces. They were very respectful and mature....but the staff went nuts. I don't know what came over us...must have been the cacao.

Dark Chocolate---GROSS! Well, I guess I really am still the child because I can only eat milk chocolate. I am surprised to hear you haven't started on the Dark Chocolate Hot Chocolate yet! I am sure you will be a fan soon. Hey, I think there is caffeine in chocolate too--especially dark. Glad to hear you are expanding your taste buds as well as every place you get to see. Enjoy! i totally understood you two karrie and teryn!!! ha ha. I can see teryn just sitting up late also, on her computer, eating chocolate. I have major spouts of insomnia. nights are great to me. my mind and soul seem to somehow come alive at 2 am.
ps: you have been the topic of patrick's family conversation over the last week. his parents lived in leysin for several years so we have been sharing your stories. hope you have been feeling your ears burn. your missed.
